Hi! We’re Bob and Julie Bolton, the owners and ranchers at Groff’s Content Farm in Frederick County. We believe that grass-fed and pasture-raised meats are best for the environment, your health, and for eating! That’s not new thinking for us, we’ve been ranching for four decades and actually have degrees in rangeland, natural resource, and wildlife management! For the last 15 years, we’ve only been selling our healthy and delicious meats directly to our loyal customers at Farmer’s Markets throughout DC and Baltimore. But now, we’re delivering the amazing beef, pork, poultry, and lamb your neighbors have been lining up for the right to your doorstep via our online store!

We believe in allowing animals the freedom to spend their lives doing the things that make them what they are.
Chickens are allowed to scratch and forage, cattle and sheep to graze.

We use rotational grazing strategies informed by our years of work as ranchers and resource management professionals - and supplement our animals' diet with a sprouted seed fodder we grow right on the farm (think tasty wheatgrass!). Our approach produces proteins and energy that science says -
